8/14/11 Walden Parke

Thunderstorms with hail forecast for this afternoon so we stayed close to home and returned to Walden . It was sunny while we hiked and humid but the deer flies seem to be about over for this year and that is a relief. Mary joined us again and was content to repeat the hike of two days ago. These are some of the things we saw.

As you can see from this fellow, bees are not the only pollinators

This guy sat in the middle of the trail without moving until prodded ( to get him into the grass before Kelley saw him)
