Finding Trail Descriptions

So as not to repeat myself excessively, I am reducing the amount of description of trails that have already been posted. Please use the search function ( upper left) to find older posts which have more detailed trail descriptions and pictures. You can also use this to find specific hikes either by trail or mountain.

11/22/12 Bangor

We started with a gray foggy morning and just did a short walk around the neighborhood. Kelley has developed a cough ( Kennel Cough?) but it does not seem to effect her desire to walk - or her appetite. Some cough syrup has greatly reduced her symptoms. In the afternoon it got sunny so we went downtown for an hour's walk about the town- Kelley's route.

Some of what we saw.

  1. hi John. :)

re the cough: kennel cough often has a fever with it and it has an unusual sound.

Lungworm will also make dogs cough- they get it from eating the droppings of foxes (and probably other critters, I just now about the foxes).

  2. Hi Teresa- thanks for your interest. The cough is unusual( I first thought she had something caught in her throat) but she seems to have no other symptoms. She is still energetic and loving to be out and has not lost her love of food. Cough syrup for two days eliminated the coughing except when she was excited- people or food- and now she rarely coughs without the medicine and it's only been four days- she did not like the stuff.
