Finding Trail Descriptions

So as not to repeat myself excessively, I am reducing the amount of description of trails that have already been posted. Please use the search function ( upper left) to find older posts which have more detailed trail descriptions and pictures. You can also use this to find specific hikes either by trail or mountain.

4/1/15 Glenburn Trails

Twenty nine. sunny, and windy. Kelley seemed a little uncomfortable so I decided on a shorter easy hike for today.

We started from Hudson Rd. and found the trail in good condition with a nice firm surface. Though we have had a couple of days of temps a little above freezing the nights are still mostly in the teens.

There is still enough snow to make the woods pretty.

We hiked to the lake and then turned back

The marshy area is open and gets more sun and you can see the ice is starting to melt ( this can be a very wet hike at times.

Some ice near the end

Kelley seemed to enjoy the hike and , again, we had  the trail all to ourselves  1  1/2 hours

  1. I'm so happy you're starting to thaw. Now I get a whole new round of pics---things will look so different without snow.
    Have a good day
